I Am Made New

Aside

I have just returned from my fifth (or sixth) Mastery System’s “All For You” and third life transforming “META-BE” in Flat Rock, NC. Before my first introduction to Mastery Systems two years ago, I was out-of-touch with my feelings—stoic: “a person who can endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining.” In truth, I was unconscious of my feelings. Yes, I AM strong of constitution yet I was insensitive to my heart thoughts—the fabric from which my observable/concrete reality is woven.

After each META-BE, I require time to assimilate my truths into my life path. I am marinating. For now, to succinctly encapsulate my life transformations from Mastery System’s META-BEs is: in my first META-BE, I re-entered, returned, into my awareness; my second, I came home, returned, to my body; in this, my third, I realized I had hated Me (not my first husband), forgave Me for my poor past choices, and embodied my Sovereign Self.

I remember I AM NEW. I remember I love and forgive Me and keep renewing that relationship.

DOORS of GodI open the doors of my perception and remember I am in metamorphosis/transformation, NOW. I imagineer my heart desires, dreams, life from already done! And, it IS very good!

You Can Do It

Recently, I received a surprise visit from a friend I haven’t heard from in a couple of years: my great blue heron. Great blue heronShe (We haven’t been formally introduced, so I choose “she” is a her.) first entered my awareness around 3 or 4 o’clock one morning.

I was awakened from sleep by what I interpreted as a scream. I sat up to better hear. Instead of someone screaming, I heard screeching. On this—her second—visit, I saw her standing by my back stream, exactly where I saw her my first time. I was in the midst of my physical, emotional, and spiritual transition, so I interpreted her visit as my sign to investigate her message to me.

In Native American lore, the heron embodies wisdom and patience. Herons are intelligent, resourceful, and very determined. They are at home in three elements: Water, Earth and Air. Comfortable in multiple elements, the heron will have one foot on land, and one foot in the water while breathing air (and air being its medium for flight) patiently waiting for its dinner to swim by. Comfort in multiple elements is symbolic of easy transitions. My “transition” was very challenging.

One article I read spoke of liminal spaces.

“liminal: a barely perceptual sensory threshold; of, relating to, or being an intermediate state, phase, or condition.” – Merriam-Webster

In ancient cultures, the action of the heron having one foot on land, and one foot in the water has been recognized as “a sign of liminality – of crossing into a space that is neither here, nor there.” This is what Eckhart Tolle refers to as the “Now.”

This spoke to me of my transition, my in-between place. I was neither here, nor there…which reminded me what my daddy used to say to reel me back from whatever excuse or rationalization I was giving him for whatever I was in trouble for!

“That’s neither here nor there.” he would say. True! I was desiring escape from my uncomfortable space.

Blue Heron’s message to me: I am not my environment. I am not my body. I am not even my circumstance. She showed me I CAN move through my in-between places, people and/or things, calmly and patiently. I CAN maintain my stability. I CAN remain focused. I CAN BE present.

When you find yourself in liminal spaces, an in-between phase, remember Heron’s tranquil stability, ready and set for action when her perfect opportunity swims by. Until, her wise stillness is mirrored on the water’s calm surface.

My transition is my Now. I am learning: I touch my feelings in-between my upgrades—“opportunities;” I feel my emotions; I stay in my now; I breathe inspiration in my tranquility; I love my life, and I love my life lessons.

Change Begins On The Inside: It’s ALL About You!

 Realize what POW-er you have and how to use it…

“Did you know that every time you talk about an unhealed wound or trauma, you re-activate it in your emotional, spiritual, and physical bodies? As you speak, or even think, about an old issue, you experience it as if it is happening right now. Since your subconscious mind does not know the difference between current experience and past memory, for all intents and purposes, the trauma or negative experience is happening now…emotions-frequency

Unfortunately, when an issue is re-activated, instead of using it as a healing opportunity, many of us react by pushing the wounds down with numbing substances like food, drugs, internet, Facebook, TV, and a long list of other distractions.

Unhealed issues get stored in the body, until we release them. The body obliges as a storehouse for emotional wounds but it does take its toll, especially if issues are accumulated for long periods of time. Storing wounds in the body eventually weakens the body and invites illness and disease, as well as causing depression…The good news is that the body is ready to release issues, the moment you are.

When an unhealed issue is re-activated, don’t just push it down – take the time to finally heal it. This means creating intentional space to [FEEL] your emotions and allow the issue to process through to Healing. Once you allow yourself to fully experience these emotions for the first time, without resistance, you will innately know what path to healing is right for you.

Wounds are meant to be healed. We are not meant to spend our lives carrying around past issues and hurts.…

Wounds want to be healed and issues want to be released, but you have the last say. None of this can happen until you are ready and willing.

You are meant to be free and clear of emotional burdens. You are meant to live a limitless life with an abundance of love and creativity. LAL: Life Alert Lessons

You want the good news or the bad news first? Okay, the good news is: reaching my senior year-s (not as a high school “senior;” but a 67-year-old “senior!”), and living in their cumulative confidence and wisdom.

The bad news: everyone’s concern that “I fall-l-l-l and can’t get up.”

Alright! I fell. (Here’s the 911 if you missed the event http://conversationswithcynthia.com/2015/06/10/pain-is-relative-ly-painful/ )

Enter LIFE ALERT! Dun-dun-dun…you know there’s a catch: my life “alert” pendant has a-leer-ing (malicious) intent. It’s sneaky and fickle.

Why is it so-o-o hard to press the activation disk yet, so-o-o simple to accidentally “activate it?!confused look The first time I unknowingly hit it was while North Hope and I were making muffins. I was chopping nuts on the chopping board in my lap when a disembodied voice rose from the base unit. Wide-eyed, we ran to the unit to reassure ADT (my home security) that it was an accident—NOT a fall!

The second time was while putting plates in my lap. (I know. I know. It’s better to be safe than sorry, but I’m sorry!) This last one is, still, only partially solved.

I heard a fire engine, and wheeled to my front window to see which neighbor’s house it stopped in front of…to watch it stop at mine. Reality hit when the driver looked through my picture window at me looking at him. Embarrassed reckoning came as I met the three medics IN my kitchen…after they unlocked the back door (with my hidden key), making the call to ADT: “She’s fine. It’s a false alarm.”

After repeated apologies, the medics left.

Trying to solve the riddle, I mentally flipped through possible scenarios of the 10-15 minutes prior to hearing the fire truck. I remembered, while in the bathroom, thinking I heard a voice, twice. I stopped to listen, twice. I wondered if the TV had been turned on by a weird frequency: an 18-wheeler on McFarland Boulevard; the sanitation truck or school bus breaks?

Then, VOILÁ! It must have been while the commode was flushing that the “voice” was inquiring as to my “alert.” Still, I have no idea how I hit my pendant. The wheels on the bus go round and round….using past experience and common logic, doesn’t always fill in the blanks.

Seriously though, it does provide security to all, particularly loved ones—whose insistence only costs YOU around $30 a month for THEIR peace of mind.

Hurt Verses Pain

As I was peeling the dried, flakey skin from an onion, I thought of its similarities to our life experiences.

In adulthood, we tend to nonchalantly peel away and heedlessly disregard recurring emotional episodes. Because “it’s just the way things are,” they’re predictable (by us and those around us) and accepted as routine. Do we question why we, or they, repeatedly flake out? If a sliced onion regrew dehydrated skin overnight, wouldn’t you wonder?! And, if you think about it, it’s not until you pull off the silicone-like protective under skin and slice into the onion’s crisp flesh that its fresh juices flow…as do your tears.

Wake up and consciously seek the sources of “inflammatory” buttons. Sloughing “random emotions” require sloughing…and re-sloughing until the deep unconscious pains being triggered are remembered, loved, and transformed into wellness.
