Nature, Nurture or Neither

Hmmm, what is your opinion on nature verses nurture?

My educational background was tainted by psychology. From my hands-on day-to-day practice, I believed environmental conditioning shaped our behavior. After all, look at animal imprinting and human bonding! Then after thinking, “Isn’t this instinctual?” I began considering the contributions of genetic inheritance AND environmental factors on behavior i.e., nature verses nurture. So, is our behavior conditioned and learned through environment or determined by evolution? Yes! And, No!

Neither our biology nor our environment controls us. OUR BELIEF CONTROLS US. For example: we all have memories. Although, have you sat with family, friends or cohorts remembering the very same circumstances with TOTALLY different experiences?

The first truth is: there was only ONE event—the actual fact—with varying (however many people involved) perspectives!

The second truth is: we have made up stories about our memories. By “stories,” I mean how we perceive an event, our interpretation of what occurred. Our story is not an intentional lie, just a fib-rillation: a lack of synchronism between the true happening and our impression of what happened.

The method used is dependent on the age of 45 look at these guys levitra online & 50s found more at risk to get ED issue.
The third truth is: whether through participation or/and observation, every experience in our life registers and is recorded in our subconscious.

Are you curious how “facts” of events vary from person to person? Can this be resolved?

Would you share a memory others (you have learned) experienced differently?

Next week: the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
