Heart Renovation

My sister, Candace, had to make the humane decision to euthanize her canine soul mate, Ella, a while back. (And, more recently, Moses from FeLV complications.)

Of course, I’d been privy to Ella’s mental decline and health issues, and had prayed as if her furry children were mine.

On that day, Candace had stopped in to drop off some plants, and to water some of my thirsty others. But, before picking up last-hope medications from her vet, she went home to check on Ella. As she left, I wondered what condition she would find Ella.

Within a couple of hours, I received the call, and her Facebook posting, that Ella had gone to her Creator.

As I was crying for her, her lose, her heart ache, my thoughts went back to my own loss: over a year ago, I had to make that decision for my almost 22-year-old feline soul mate, Cĭātĭ. I had cried and talked to Cĭātĭ about its inevitability for over 6 months.

Aside from Candace and Madeleine, I didn’t tell anyone. I grieved alone and cried in private. But, as I read her FB friend’s condolences, I became more aware of a room needing expansion—my heart—again. It seems that the more walls I break down, the more light is cast on where else I have “room to grow.”

If you’ve read my books, are a follower of my daily Facebook “Cyndex”es, or my weekly blog “Conversationswithcynthia,” you’re aware that I share the gleanings from my life choices. Some are wise. Some, witty; others woeful. Hopefully, they’ll prevent you from taking the same wrong turns. Here’s another:

Wearing an open heart is a two-edged sword. Yes, you will feel the thorns, but you won’t bleed alone. Don’t suffer in silence! Express your emotional vulnerability.

Not expressing emotions isn’t strong, admirable, or healthy. It comes from a misinformed belief—habit of mind—that emotions are senseless, that you’re unimportant, an inconvenience, or an accident…maybe, from shame.

I’m still learning to trust others, to share my heart hurts. I’m also learning that being vulnerable is a reciprocal blessing: it allows others to share the stab of pathos, and blesses you to know they care. It’s heart-enlarging.

Does yours need expansion?

Think Healthy Thoughts

For me, minoring in psychology was like a baby rocking on its stomach to strengthen its back muscles to walk. It was my foundation for counseling, something I see as strengthening others (myself included) to “walk” into wholeness. Becoming a certified counselor through Elijah House gave me the tools for transformationvisualization, going back to childhood (even back to the womb) to discover root problems, in order to make changes in the present.

BUT, the eyes can’t see what the heart can’t hear. I wasn’t totally there. Gracious Holy Spirit continued to illumine my darkness.

A few years after my certification, I read Dr. Thomas Verny’s book, The Secret Life of the Unborn Child. Epiphanies sparked. This was after I had released the hope of motherhood. Previously, I had re-married to have children. At forty, there was a trauma that caused premature menopause.

God chose to stubble burn that field, and replant. Then, my mind was fertile to conceive God’s idea for my healing. Dr. Verny gave me a vocabulary for my, until then, unconscious perceptions.

You know that I don’t apologize for my unconventional avenues in seeking God and wholeness. So, anything I say that ruffles your spiritual beliefs, just place them on a shelf for future reference. This has been my habit for years. Time and again, I take to blowing dust off a few. This is one of those:

With my permission, a counselor took a walk through my spirit. (He is the only person I know gifted in doing this!) It’s sort of like a guided tour. Holy Spirit showed him what I needed to know about my spirit and heart, at that time.

There are some things he saw that I still don’t understand. But, one thing he saw, or didn’t see, has been the path of God’s breadcrumbs. He couldn’t find my heart. Nope. He couldn’t find it. That was around fifteen years ago.

Thus far, there’s been a lot of demolition. I had locked my heart behind so many doors with fortified walls that even I couldn’t find it. That’s why I said Dr. Verny gave me a vocabulary for my…“unconscious perceptions:” beliefs I formed from my mother’s thoughts, insecurities, and fears…while I was in her womb.

Know that your thoughts create your reality. Their energy draws the experiences to you.

If you’re scratching your head, if this sounds “far-out,” Karol K. Truman’s Feelings BURIED ALIVE NEVER DIE…is the “TREK” for you. It’s a book illumining why feelings trigger our choices and behavior, moment to moment, day to day, year after year.

The first step is grasping your diagnosis of unconsciousness. Severity varies from person to person. A lifetime of unawareness, suppression, and denial affects us all, as does a closed heart.

When writing HOW TO BE THE BEST YOU http://booklocker.com/books/6811.html , it was through the veil of my, then, present consciousness. Ever’ so often, I pick it up to reference something I’ve forgotten. Only a year after publishing it, I’m amazed at where I was headed—to my present consciousness, light years away from then. Before the above books, I think it can offer you a place to start.

The good news: You don’t have to wonder why you don’t see the forest for the trees, just look for green. You’ll find your path. Remember: green is the color for new beginnings, life, and love.

Life and Crossword Puzzles

Are you stuck with no idea of what to do. No clue for your next move?

I think life is much like a crossword puzzle. Specific to each of us amidst the game, God designed a list of tasks. Our tasks intersect with other player’s “list of tasks,” like the “Across” and “Down.” At the juncture/square where we figure out the vertical and horizontal clues, with satisfaction we move on to the next task…as we do in the seasons of our lives.

I’m a BIG fan of crossword puzzles and always have a book nearby! Crossword puzzles entertain and exercise the brain. Whether easy or difficult, over time, they strengthen intellect, improve problem-solving skills, concentration, and memory, with the serendipitous benefit of increasing vocabulary and conversation skills. Hmmm.

If communication is a key to success in life then, these communication skills “cross” over with customers, fellow workers, managers, and loved ones to figure out, work through, and complete designated tasks.

When conscientiously reaching for the answers to life’s clues, satisfaction is inevitable…oh, and yeah: frustration is also an inevitability.

Like the frustration of uncompleted tasks/unfilled-in squares that lead to dead ends with no solutions, error is a fact of life.  All you can do is: learn from it, let it go, and start anew each day. (Lamentations 3:22-23)

And, did you know that the heart sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart? Hmmm.

Weird or Wonderful? YES!

Is it better, more admirable, to be a social butterfly than a wallflower, an extrovert than an introvert?

There seems to be more written in poetry, novels, and screenplays of the jovial, talkative, “life of the party” personalities, than the “socially maladjusted” wallflowers; but what about the myriad between.

Fact or fiction? Is the lifeoftheparty better adjusted than the quiet, reserved wallflower? Let’s see…

First, we know that shyness is as self-centered as ego-mania. Each is on the self-esteem continuum, only at opposite, extreme ends.

The shy’s response at feeling “less than” is to hide, and pull inward. The ego-maniac puffs up to appear greater than his inner feelings of insufficiency.

But, wait! We humans are way more complex than a one-dimensional label of introvert or extravert.

From the earliest times, physicians and philosophers used their understanding of the four humors (bodily fluids), “the four temperaments,” to treat diseases and understand people’s individual differences. Although each person is a mixture of temperaments, there’s usually one dominating.

Succinctly, Tim LaHaye’s book, Spirit Controlled Temperament, discusses the passive phlegmatic; the fickle, outgoing sanguine; the gloomy melancholic; and the assertive, fiery choleric. (He has 2 others on temperaments: Transforming Your Temperament and Transformed Temperaments)

And, Carol Tuttle writes about the four energy/personality types in It’s Just My Nature and The Child Whisperer.

We who are more introverted know that we’re comfortable in our solitude. But, are we best remaining in our solitude? (Here’s one of my first articles about such. http://conversationswithcynthia.com/2012/09/28/my-pearl/ )

I know of many espousing introverts who are proof that out of their solitude came wisdom, and strength, for future change, teaching, art, music, books, and inventions. We would have been robbed of their/your contributions, deprived of your inspirations, and may have missed a life-altering epiphany had you not turned inward and away, for a time!

I too prefer my solitude, and have always been a loner. But, I was a social misanthrope until I learned the purpose of my life: people. Isn’t it ironic?
Conclusion viagra on line Creating a learning organization requires a deep rethinking of the leader’s role.

There’s a coalition of (solitary) contemplative thinkers, like the above, to help us recognize the treasures within each of us. As author of Quiet: The Power of Introverts, Susan Cain admonishes: “let us come back from the wilderness to share our revelations.” The world needs your insights!

What if you’re in a wheelchair, walk with a limp, speak with a stammer or lisp, have a weird laugh, eyes of different colors, lots of freckles, carrot red hair, or as gorgeous as Johnny Depp?

I love "weird."
I love “weird.”

How you appear isn’t who you are. So, what if you’re a little weird? What if you’re vanilla?

None of us are wholly one thing or another. We’re bits and pieces, different shapes, different colors, with different expressions of individuality. Sometimes bringing peace, and at other times, exuding energy; but always a beautiful medley of uniqueness.

We’re a wonderful mélange of experiences, thoughts, and emotions sewn into a patchwork personality, fitting perfectly into the quilt, but never haphazardly! For…

Journey to Wholeness (IX) I Speak-Throat Chakra

After reading Sound of Heaven, Symphony of Earth by Ray Hughes, I actively began listening to the “symphony of earth.” Ray clarified for me that all “categories, and forms of light and sound exist within the same spectrum.”

INVISIBLE ENERGY
INVISIBLE ENERGY

The first time God said, ‘Let there be light,’ (Genesis 1:3) He was also proclaiming the beginning of sound.”

The Cervical, Neck or Throat Chakra represents the spoken word, the right to speak.

In the front, it’s located at the base of the neck, at the hollow of the collarbone. Its spiral is rooted in the third cervical vertebra at the base of the skull. This chakra corresponds to the lungs, ears, nose, thyroid, and throat. Think about it

    ((((((((((((breath+vibration/frequency=sound=communication=Creation)))))))))))

When open, there’s creative expression in speech, writing, and the arts. We’re integrated. We feel peace, express truth, and display loyalty.

My “right to speak” was long coming. Now, I’m adamant about encouraging children in their “right” to say “NO!” Don’t punish your children for saying no. Children ARE PEOPLE with emotions…just as we adults! LISTEN to their heart cries. They trust your overseeing of them. If you don’t listen, they learn not to trust.

If you’ve been silenced, sore throats and creative blocks occur; also headaches, insomnia, co-ordination problems, indecisiveness, depression, thyroid imbalances, infections, and more, may plague you. Do you experience a fog of confusion and doubt, like it’s raining on your parade? (I refer to this in the “Ingratitude” chapter of Part Three: Roadblocks of my book, HOW TO BE THE BEST YOU http://booklocker.com/books/6811.html  )

Singing, humming, reading poetry aloud, meaningful conversations, the note “G,” and the intonation of “aye,” as in eye, balance the Throat Chakra.

All the cost will obviously included in the sale Go Here discount viagra.

Humming is a God-given benefit of vocal cord speech. Do you know the frequency of a cat’s purr facilitates healing in them? Aside from decreasing depression and lowering your blood pressure, there’s also a health benefit to your critters of be stroked, held, and loved!

As Solomon stated, “there’s nothing new under the sun.”

“Healing through frequency is not new! John Wesley, founder of Methodism, experimented with a “machine” to heal people. He used a direct current voltage-regulator (a battery) to heal. He recorded many occasions where he “electrified people” and claimed to have helped thousands. He felt healing needed to include prayer. His journals record numerous miracles of God’s healing through prayer. He even prayed for his horse once, and the horse was healed. He had special compassion on those who needed healing and even dispensed medicine from his chapels.”-Kari Browning

“Electrified?” Maybe receiving shocks from door knobs and carpet is beneficial. It certainly stimulates vocalization from me!

Whatever balancing method you choose, sound is the energy of all things. Sound can heal wounded hearts, release pain, reduce stress, elevate mood, and w-a-y more.

The color blue is associated with the Throat Chakra. As you have learned, to assist in balancing energy: Wear it. Look at it. Eat it.

Blue is a unisex color. Holding my turquoise, blue topaz, or aquamarine-adorned hand out in front of my eyes makes me say, “Uh-hum!” See, I’m hummm-ing. (Turquoise and Aquamarine stimulate self-expression and help communicate compassionately.)

As for eating it, besides blueberries, bilberries, and blue-scaled fish, there aren’t many naturally occurring blue foods. (Blue M & M’s and blue Skittles don’t count!) In fact, the color blue is an appetite suppressant. Some dietitians even suggest eating on a blue plate, and replacing your refrigerator light with a blue light. For our ancient ancestors, blue food was a warning: poisonous!

Journey to Wholeness-VII “Solar Plexus Chakra (Personal Power-I WILL)”

During WWII, Eleanor Roosevelt suggested, “Do one scary thing a day.” By “scary,” she didn’t mean playing chicken with an oncoming car. She was suggesting learning something new—a language, a sport, a musical instrument, or practice something you’ve learned and haven’t utilized. It doesn’t have to be difficult or dangerous, just different. Challenging yourself to overcome fears increases your self-confidence, self-worth, and personal power. I mentioned 3 of my fears in the chapter, “Facing Fears,” of my first book Views From My Chariot…. http://booklocker.com/books/6235.html

The Lumbar or Solar Plexus Chakra represents personal power and will. When open, self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-control are actualized. Located in the upper abdomen in the stomach area, when it’s closed, digestive problems may occur (constipation, ulcers, parasites, colitis). Nervousness, feelings of powerlessness, and a victim mentality may distort feelings of worthiness.

The Law of Intention and Desire governs this chakra. Be conscious and aware of your goals.

With shoulders back, position your feet about shoulder width apart (just sitting up straight with fists on hips works if you’re in a wheelchair), place closed fists on your hips, and say: “I AM STRONG. I AM CONFIDENT. I AM VICTORIOUS.” These are empowering affirmations.

Journey to Wholeness: Background

If this is your first visit to “Conversations With Cynthia,” please check out last week’s introductory article for this series.

http://conversationswithcynthia.com/2014/01/03/journey-to-wholeness-introduction/

Concerning the Chakras: The Chakras are the body’s energy centers located along the spine. These electromagnetic centers provide functions keeping our physical bodies alive.

Because they are Divinely sourced, some call our electromagnetic body our “spiritual body,” or “astral body.” The way I see it, they are whirling electromagnetic vapors from God’s life-giving breath resident within. In Truth, You are God’s address. HE IS resident within You.

Frequency

Envision the movement of a small firenado. In comparison, when our chakras are open, their flowing funnel of electromagnetic energy moves in a vortex, sparking physical, mental, and emotional health. Although there are more, seven are generally illustrated and discussed.

The first—Root Chakra—is located at the base of the spine and represents our foundation and feeling grounded; the second—Sacral Chakra—is in the lower abdomen, representing connection, with others and life experiences; the third—Solar Plexus Chakra—is in the upper abdomen, representative of confidence and feeling in-control of our life; the fourth—Heart Chakra, in the center of the chest above the heart, represents our ability to give and receive love; the fifth—Throat Chakra, at the throat, represents our ability to communicate; the sixth—Brow Chakra, on the forehead between the eyes, represents our ability to focus on the bigger picture; and the seventh—Crown Chakra, on the top center of the head, represents our ability to be connected spiritually.

Please understand, that when I use the word “health,” it’s not only physical. I quote from Mary Kurus’ article, “Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual Health.”

“It is only by dealing with each part of the whole within the whole, that we can have vital and energetic health. All organs, systems, thoughts, emotions, have their own specific energy or vibration.  Each organ vibrates at an energy specific to it alone.  Each piece of food or drink that we consume has its own vibration.  Each emotion has its own vibration.  Therefore what we feel, what we think, what we speak, eat and drink, have direct effect on our health.” (I discuss this in Part Two: As A Man Thinketh of my book, HOW TO BE THE BEST YOU, http://booklocker.com/books/6811.html )
So, it http://robertrobb.com/are-racial-preferences-now-permanent/ levitra without prescription can be sold cheap.

You’ve read that canned food has no vibration. That’s because there’s no life left in it. This is why I bring into the light the importance of understanding our whole, in order to BE whole!

Regarding essential oils: Any time I talk about using essential oils, I will only recommend Young Living’s (YL)! Why do I only use their oils? It is the only company with a “Seed to Seal” guarantee.

First, YL owns their own farms, globally. They monitor every aspect of how the oils are produced, from what goes into the soil to how it is bottled! They use organic seeds, the soil is nurtured with enzymes and organic fertilizers, watered with spring water, and weeded by hand. They harvest (flower, stem, leaves, root, bark, and/or resin) at the optimal time of day/season, and distill at low temperatures for the correct amount of time to get the primary benefits.

I know what I am using is 100% pure essential oil. I know what I use can be ingested, inhaled, or applied topically without harm to my body or others around me.

If you’re new to natural living, you may be wondering why I use essential oils? I’ve been into alternative medicine and ‘organic’ since my early twenties. The miraculous aspect of essential oils is their molecules are so tiny they penetrate past your skin, into your blood stream, through the walls of your cells, and are in every organ of your body in twenty minutes. When you inhale an essential oil, those same ultra-tiny molecules enter your lungs and brain and do the same thing! And, essential oils are 50-80% more powerful than herbs!

For other companies, any toxin in the oil from the farming and distillation process will also be inside that little bottle. Even if it says “Organic” on the label, the FDA “guidelines” for organic is only 3 drops of an essential oil per bottle! The mixture can be chemicals, preservatives, and perfumes. You have no idea if it was distilled at the right temperature or for the correct amount of time to be used for its healthful benefits. If the bottle says “DO NOT EAT. DO NOT INGEST” on it, do not put in on your body either! Read your labels! https://www.youngliving.org/4Wholeness

Next week, full throttle!!

Welcome To My World

I bumped this last week to post a sweet Thanksgiving memory. Here it is again.

For those of you just tuning in to “Conversations with Cynthia,” I’m tutored by thirty-seven years of disability (SCI), and living life triumphantly from a wheelchair. I have a varied educational background: Speech and language pathology, counseling, interior design, critical thinking (problem solving, not being critical), have run several small business ventures, and I’m an author.

My weekly conversations here are how I see things; sometimes from a serious perspective, sometimes philosophically, and sometimes humorously. You will often read song lyric references within my conversations because I think in song; like The Beatles “Help!” http://conversationswithcynthia.com/2012/08/17/help-not-the-beatles-a-wheelchair-assist/, and Jewel’s “Satisfied” http://conversationswithcynthia.com/2012/04/22/satisfied-in-spite-of-disability/ .

Anyway, ‎ I can be mid-conversation, mid-sentence with my cats and break into song. They’re used to it. With humans, I normally don’t embarrass myself that way. But, since you can’t hear me, “Welcome to my world, want you come on in…I’ll be waiting here…waiting just for you.” (Just listen for 2 golden minutes as Dean Martin sings it best http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX7BAfXn85Y )

That’s my open invitation to R.S.V. P. with your responses concerning disability, or not, experiences relating to my topics, your thoughts, concerns, questions, reviews of my books, or suggestions for newsletter topics. I eagerly anticipate hearing from every one of you!

Let’s continue changing the world or, at the least, making it a better place. Be the best you!
