I Vote Your Victory

How often do we explain away something or just choose to unsee it? On the other hand, how often do we go through mental ruminations to make sense of or excuse something?

Why do we dance around truth?! Why do we resist questioning something’s validity? Why not research to get to the truth that resonates within you?

One reason is: We have been programmed to believe and trust what “authority figures” (branches of government, institutions of law, education, religion) proclaim/preach as “right”eous and condemn, judge and prosecute as law”less.”

As “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure”, so YOUR truth has a value/frequency in alignment with where you are in your mental awareness and heart-receptivity. Therefore, one’s truth meter is subjective. There can be verified research of something but you feel doubt and hesitation about it. Trust your intuition and question anything and everything appearing unclear. Be your own authority.

If you have fallen for media propaganda and when you miss the mark, begin again with your gained knowledge and greater wisdom. Remember: Mercy triumphs over judgment. (forgive yourself)

You are a winner!!! You have the keys to set yourself free from emotional blame and mental doubt.

Be Seeker in Hide-n-Seek

I have a new intention – playing Seeker  in the Hide and Seek game,

Hear Your Brave Heart’s Cry

As humans, we attempt all the escape mechanisms: denial, shopping “therapy”, monetary toys of distraction, sex, drugs, alcohol and _________. (fill in the blank) Any avenue of avoidance can become a road of addiction, a crutch to forget, to avoid remembering and feeling traumatic emotions.

The energies of pain, fear and hate keep us down in a victim mentality. We tend to seek “safety and protection” even if it puts us in a zombie state. Yes, counselors, psychologist, life-coaches (I am that), spiritual healers, etc. can help you identify the fear, an impulse to run away/escape, as well as hate, shame, embarrassment, etc, of what you feel and direct you. BUT, until YOU meet your “demons,” their shadows will arise again and again and again.

Pain and trauma are not here to hurt us but are attention-getting clarion calls to liberate us into the true freedom of who we are. These are personal and uniquely individual. There is no escape. As Winston Churchill said, “When you’re going through hell, keep going.”

The “keep going” is identifying the *emotion, staying with your feeling (instead of running from it), transmuting and loving your pain and trauma…which are really presents you give yourself to BE Present and deal. When not identified, understood, forgiven, loved and transmuted through love, these toxic feelings stored in cells of our body become dis-ease. When we don’t listen to our thoughts and feelings, our body language is our bio computer communicating.

As you can see, existing with emotional pain can be a curse OR a purpose-feeled portal of revelation to live your personal and Divine purpose.

A “Matrix” Thanksgiving

Every so often, I relate an article unrelated to SCI. Let me share with you one of this year’s favorite Thanksgiving memories. It’s about North Hope’s, my soon-to-be 7-year-old grandniece, enjoyment of her papa’s fried Thanksgiving turkey.

Normally, our traditional Thanksgiving spread is two turkeys, one fried and one smoked; three casseroles: a yellow squash and onion, a spinach with jalapeño, and a sweet potato with Wild Turkey; cornbread dressing with giblet gravy; cayenne turnips; an apple/orange/celery/pecan/cranberry congealed salad; pecan pie, and sometimes a pumpkin pie, as well.

Her papa (granddad Patrick) carved the fried turkey. Amidst conversations of anticipated enjoyment of our Thanksgiving smorgasbord, everyone began filling their plates while Papa walked around the table serving our chosen pieces.

North called for a leg that looked the size of her head. I wondered if she could pick it up.

The second the leg filled her plate, she effortlessly picked it up and bit through its charred crusty salt-seasoned skin.
